This is a collection of photos that show the work of 1000 Blankets.
STEP 1
First, take your fabric and cut it into a square, however big you like. 1 yard of fabric can make around 1 large, 2 medium, or 4 small blankets.
STEP 2
Then, take your scissors and cut two lines that are approximately 2.5 inches tall and 1 inch wide.
STEP 3
Then, tie those two strips of fabric together. Be sure to double knot it so that it doesn't come apart.
STEP 4
Next, cut off the corner fabric that is approximately 2.5 inches by 2.5 inches.
STEP 5
Repeat steps 2, 3, and 4 until you reach the end of that side of the fabric.
STEP 6
Then, repeat steps 2, 3, and 4 for all of the other sides of the fabric.
STEP 7
Finally, you blanket is probably a little bunched up, so be sure to stretch it out a bit. Then, you're finished! Enjoy!

MAKING BLANKETS
In order to make the world a better place for animals, I make blankets to donate to shelters in my area. Lots of animals in animal shelters are scared and I want to give each and every animal somewhere to relax and feel safe in. It is very simple to make a blanket, and takes very little time. Help me give each and every animal a comfy blanket to relax in.
INSPIRING OTHERS

ABOUT ME
My Background
I am a Junior Girl Scout dedicated to help animals live a better life. I created 1000 Blankets because at every shelter I went to, there were at least a few animals who were shaking. I want to create something that will help animals feel safe. Explore our website to learn more about all that we’re doing to make a change.
